Chairman Cote called the Advisory Committee meeting to order at 7:00 p.m.
COUNCIL ON AGING, ACCOUNT 541 (Sheila Chmielowski)
The Council on Aging budget for FY17 was reviewed. The miscellaneous and gas line items will be looked at. The budget was not finalized.
CONSERVATION COMMISSION, ACCOUNT 171 (Brian Berube)
The Conservation Commission budget for FY17 was reviewed. The wages line item was revised to $44,500 and the land capital improvement lien item went from $9,000 to $4,000. On a motion made by Lauer and seconded by Myerson, the Advisory Committee approved the Conservation Commission budget as revised. (Cote – yes, Benjamin – yes, Myerson – yes, Kirchner – yes, Lauer – yes)
ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT COMMITTEE, ACCOUNT 182 (Helene Demmer)
The Economic Development Committee budget for FY17 was reviewed. The purchase of service line item was increased from $700 to $1,000; the postage and supplies line items were both reduced from $100 to $0. On a motion made by Kirchner and seconded by Benjamin, the Advisory Committee approved the Economic Development Committee budget as revised. (Cote – yes, Benjamin – yes, Myerson – yes, Kirchner – yes, Lauer – yes)
PARKS/RECREATION, ACCOUNT 630 & 650
The Parks and Recreation budget for FY17 was reviewed. The wages for the lifeguards was reduced from $18,624 to $17,780; equipment were reduced from $2,600 to $1,000. On a motion made by Lauer and seconded by Benjamin, the Advisory Committee approved the Parks and Recreation budgets as revised. (Cote – yes, Benjamin – yes, Myerson – yes, Kirchner – yes, Lauer – yes)
